Mobile Web App

Mobile Web App is your custom branded web page for OCS (Online Client Scheduling) that has been optimized for use with a mobile device. It can be used as a stand-alone feature or in addition to your regular web page or Facebook presence for complete client convenience. And it’s free—included in your Salon Software monthly package!
       Please note: You’ll first need to set up your Online Client Scheduling preferences if you haven’t done so already when integrating your regular website with the Rosy software.
       Access: Manage>OCS Settings


Set Up for your Mobile Web App:
      Proceed to: Manage>Mobile Web App

Choose a Custom Web Domain:
Enter the name you want for your Homepage, typically the name of your business. If your business name is long, you might want to shorten it for client convenience. Use letters and numbers only, no symbols.
 
About Us  (optional)
Describe your services or anything you want the client to know about your business.
1.    Enter the description, being mindful of capitalization, spelling and punctuation.
2.    To view, click the “preview the mobile web app” at the top left of your screen.
3.    Save

Choose a Theme:
If you already have an OCS-enabled website, please note that the theme elements you choose here will change the OCS portion from your regular website as well. You’ll be shown a preview of all choices at the bottom of your screen.
1.    Choose a Theme from the drop-down box.
2.    Choose a type Font.
3.    Choose a Text Color.
a.    In the drop-down box, click on a color square and click Choose.  OR…
b.    For an almost infinite number of choices, click on a color in the “rainbow” at the right of the drop-down box. Then move the dot inside the shaded chart to select the exact shade of that color you want. It will be previewed in the box under the chart. When you have the exact shade you want, click Choose.
4.    Choose a Background Color. Same choices as above.
5.    If you’d like to swap background and text colors, click Swap Colors. Please note that white or light-colored type on a dark background, while attractive, may be difficult to read on the small screen of a mobile phone.
6.    Save

Upload your Logo
Your logo file must be a png, jpg or gif. The file cannot be larger than 300KB. We recommend png or gif, as jpg files can be too large to work with.
For best viewing, the image should have a maximum height of 84 pixels and have a transparent background. If you do not use a logo, your business name (in plain type) will be used in its place.
1.    Current Image: Will be blank until you upload an image.
2.    In order to upload new image Click on the browse box “Choose File” to choose a logo file that’s been saved to your computer.
3.    In the screen that comes up, find the file you want and click on it.
4.    Click Open, and the file will be uploaded.
5.    Save  

Upload an Image
This is the graphic (photo of model, stylist, scene, etc.) you want to represent your company image on screen. Again, it should be a png, jpg or gif and cannot be larger than 300KB. The photo should be able to be cropped to look good in a vertical format like a mobile phone screen.
1.    Current Image: Will be blank until you upload an image.
2.    Upload New Image: Click the box “Choose File” to choose a file that’s been saved to your computer.
3.    In the screen that comes up, find the file you want and click on it.
4.    Click Open, and the file will be uploaded.
5.    Save
 
Business Hours (optional)
1.    If you want to show your business hours, click Yes. These are the normal hours you’re open for business.   
2.    Choose start and end times for each day from the drop-down boxes.
3.    Save  

You now have a mobile web app that will allow clients to schedule online with their mobile phones.
Your personalized URL (mobile web app address) is shown under the Choose a Custom Web Domain URL Link: xxxxxxx.salonrunner.net It is a copy able link. Just highlight it, right click, copy and paste it into emails or any internet documents where an html link can be added.
